Course
Culturally Competent Care for Communities with Chronic Conditions (C6)
Self-paced
1 credit
Full course description
The goal of this training is to improve experiences in emergency care for people living with chronic infectious disease, including Hepatitis B and C Virus and Human Immunodeficiency Virus, more commonly called HBV, HCV, and HIV. Certain communities are at increased risk for these diseases, so we’re also going to discuss issues unique to people who inject drugs (which we’ll abbreviate as PWIDs), the LGBTQ+ community (which stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or questioning, and others), as well as people from minority racial and ethnic communities.
