Join us for an immersive and hands-on Point-of-Care Ultrasound (POCUS) Workshop, where medical professionals will gain introductory and advanced knowledge and practical skills in utilizing ultrasound technology for rapid and accurate diagnosis at the bedside. Designed for physicians and advanced practice providers, this workshop will provide an in-depth understanding of point-of-care ultrasound principles and techniques.
During this dynamic workshop, participants will embark on a journey to explore the capabilities of ultrasound as a versatile diagnostic tool that can augment your clinical reasoning and enhance medical decision making . Led by esteemed experts in the field, this workshop will blend self-paced pre-course video content with extensive hands-on practice to ensure a one of a kind learning experience.
Pre-Course Content (4 hours AMA category 1 CME)
- Introduction to Clinician Performed Ultrasound
- Administration (Infection control, QA, Billing)
- Basic Echo
- Thoracic Ultrasound
- eFAST exam
- Renal
- Undifferentiated Hypotension
In-person Workshop (5 hours AMA category 1 CME credits)
Learners will rotate through five different stations designed to:
1. Build skills acquiring fundamental images used for everyday point of care ultrasound
2. Gain practical experience interpreting normal and abnormal ultrasound images
3. Discover how to integrate your ultrasound findings into clinical decision making
4. Work with experts in the field for strategies to continue your ultrasound journey after the course.
