The CQHII HIPAA course consists of 15 modules that will give the students the knowledge required to handle patients and Protected Health Information (PHI) in accordance with HIPAAs (Health Information Portability and Accountability Act) Privacy and Security directives. HIPAA Training is for anyone that handles (PHI) and is required every two years to be in compliance with HIPAA directives. After each module a quiz must be taken. The student must answer at least 50% of the questions correctly to receive a passing grade for the quiz in order to pass that module. The student must receive a passing grade for each module before a Certificate of Completion will be issued.
