Mass Casualty Incident Interprofessional Educational Event 2025

The Mass Casualty Incident Interprofessional Education Event 2025 is a large-scale, simulation-based learning experience that prepares students from across UTHealth Houston’s schools to respond effectively to disaster scenarios. Participants from medicine, nursing, dentistry, public health, and other health disciplines collaborate in realistic simulations that emphasize teamwork, communication, and leadership under pressure. Through guided instruction, triage exercises, and structured debriefings, learners apply disaster response principles, practice using the Incident Command System, and manage ethical and operational challenges common to large-scale emergencies.
