Full course description

This Continuing Nursing Education course has been developed by UTHealth’s All for Them vaccination initiative for school nurses in Texas. In this course, you will learn about: • Human Papillomavirus (HPV) • HPV vaccine and why it is important • The critical role school nurses play in recommending HPV vaccination for their students • Effective strategies for communicating with parents about HPV vaccination • Steps for becoming an HPV vaccination champion • Skills for entry of HPV and other recommended vaccines into the district immunization record • Influenza virus and the current state of Flu in Texas • Hear from HPV-related cancer survivors and other Texas school nurses like you This course provides 1.5 hours of Continuing Nursing Education credit (you must complete all course components, as well as the Course Evaluation).
