Full course description

This course equips participants with skills and resources to accelerate the adoption, adaptation, and implementation of evidence-based interventions (EBIs) for public health challenges. Using the Intervention Mapping for Adaptation (IM-ADAPT) framework, participants will: (1) Assess needs and define adaptation goals; (2) Identify and evaluate EBIs for fit; (3) Modify components while preserving essential elements; (4) Adapt implementation strategies; (5) Test and evaluate adapted interventions. Through lectures, exercises and case studies, participants explore how context influences EBI adaptation. Deliverables include access to EBI repositories, logic models, planning tools, and an online decision-support tool. Participants gain strategies for adapting EBIs to bridge the gap between established interventions and their effective use in diverse settings.
