Full course description

SGM Cancer CARE is an annual training workshop focusing on enhancing the capacity of clinicians and scientists for conducting cancer research that meets the needs of sexual and gender minority (SGM) groups. Our annual workshop seeks to provide participants with knowledge and skills to conduct quality and culturally appropriate research to improve SGM cancer care and will facilitate the national research community and health care provider network dedicated to shared goals in SGM cancer research. The three-day workshop will take place yearly for a total of five years. The first year will take place virtually, the second year will take place at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, the third year will take place at the Annual LGBT Health Workforce Conference in New York, the fourth year will take place at MD Anderson Cancer Center and UTHealth School of Public Health in Houston, Texas, and the fifth year will take place at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida. This workshop is funded by a National Institutes of Health and National Cancer Institute grant (#1R25CA240113-01).
